If you’ve searched the Internet as much as I have, you’ve probably noticed there are some very successful Internet Marketers that are well known in their field–and across the web in general.

As an Internet and Article Marketer, you want to be noticed as well.

So how do you do it? For starters, you’ll want to become an authority in your niche.

You will find that when you become successful with your “new-found web notoriety” Web site owners will actively come seeking your articles. They’ll also be more than happy to publish your articles for you, rather than having their readers stumble upon your articles by chance.

So get your name out there by submitting your articles to article directories.

But, “don’t just put all your eggs in one basket” by relying solely on putting your articles up at article directories.

There are other methods you might try to gain visibility; for instance, take steps to become involved in the online community that relates to your field.

Also, post helpful replies on forums, or comment on articles in blogs.

By doing so, you may see an opportunity to include a link to your site. However, only include your site link if it is helpful, relevant and acceptable for that Web site. I speak from experience, as I clear out my blog spam comments area often, deleting many that make absolutely no sense to the focus of my blog.

Also, do you already have your own blog? If not, you can quickly set up your own.

Then, since you are now already writing articles, you can put them on your blog. Not only that, you can also add blog posts that include your thoughts, comments or smaller snippets of news when you want.

If you consistently practice some of these online community strategies in this way, you’ll find that you can’t help but see an increase in traffic to your Web site.

eZine Format Decisions

Author: KMcGreevey: Konceptuality
05.05.2010

In today’s Internet age, more and more those who publish ezines may use one or more of the 3 most commonly used formats for putting out an eZine.

Although there are three usual formats, you can decide which format is the best choice for you. Keeping in mind, though, that each winning format has its pros and cons.

For instance, the text eZine is the most commonly published! The advantage with this format is it requires no special skill to use a Word or Notepad program. Other than your writing.

Then, while the HTML eZine format requires a certain degree of HTML skills on your part, it does allow you to add more sophisticated features to your eZine issues. Thus making your eZines more appealing to your subscriber and having the potential to increase your value to your readership, as a result. This is something text eZines do not do.

Further, with an eZine format, you can “decorate” your eZine, change your fonts, include photos, clip art, and more. However, the drawback often faced by an HTML eZine user is that the HTML eZine often gets trapped in a spam filter before it reaches its intended subscriber’s inbox.

And then there’s the third and least used format among the 3, which is the PDF eZine. Partly because publishing your eZine in PDF format can be very time consuming and because it uses a lot of effort on your part to get it all put together. But it is one way to make up for in quality readership.

Because of the commitment to time and effort, PDF eZines are usually published monthly. The great thing with the PDF eZine, though, is you can add your affiliate links into your PDF eZine issue, and you can allow your subscribers to spread your eZine around.

Although there are three choices, you do not necessarily have to choose one eZine format over another, as some eZine publishers today are known to publish in more than one format.

Things Go Better with a Hard Copy

Author: KMcGreevey: Konceptuality
24.03.2010

Ever have a day where using your computer you write and write, and then try to edit it all?

Or to make sense of what you’ve written?

Even if you need or want a “save” or “save as” file to pass around, it’s a good to practice to print a hard copy for yourself.

You will find that by having your written words on paper in front of you, it will be much easier to read and to make sense of it all.

And you’ll be able to find any mistakes easily enough, too.

If you’re worried about using too much paper doing your printing, you can always print on the backside of other documents you’ve previously read and edited.

The 3 Best eZine Formats

Author: KMcGreevey: Konceptuality
16.11.2009

EZine publishers today use any one or more of the three most commonly used eZine formats, which I am about to describe to you in this article.

Ultimately, you can decide which format is the best choice for you, though each winning format has its pros and cons.

1. The text eZine is the most commonly published.

The advantage of this format is that other than writing, you do not require any special skill to use a Word or Notepad program.

2. While the HTML eZine format requires a certain degree of HTML skills on your part, you can add more sophisticated features to your eZine issues, making them more appealing to your subscriber. Thus, you do increase your readership value; something that text eZines do not have.

You can decorate your eZine format, change your fonts, include pictures, and more. However, the drawback often faced by HTML eZines is that they often get trapped in spam filters before they reach their subscribers’ in boxes.

3. The third and least used among the three formats is the PDF eZine. Publishing your eZine in PDF format can consume a lot of time and effort on your part but often makes up for it in quality readership.

Because of the commitment, PDF eZines are usually published on a monthly basis. The great part, though, is that you can put your affiliate links in your PDF eZine issue and allow your subscribers to pass the eZine issue around.

Given the choices, however, you do not have to necessarily choose strictly one eZine format, since some eZine publishers today do publish in more than one format.

So, as the saying goes, the world is your oyster! You get to decide which method works best for you! And, you can change it later, if you’re not getting the results you want.

The Key to Writing and Marketing An Article

Author: KMcGreevey: Konceptuality
23.09.2009

Okay, how many articles have you read on how to write an article to market your business?

If you read enough, you’ll eventually see the messages are really the same; some may be more detailed than others, some may not be quite as good as or as convincing as others.

But the unspoken message for writing is still the same

That ought to tell you something; article marketing is touted as one of the fastest ways to get a steady influx of traffic to your Web site.

Further, if done right, it gives you an opportunity to be recognized as someone who knows what she’s talking about…the expert factor, if you will. In some instances, you may also be in line to get media publicity for your business.

So, it can’t be stressed enough, writing articles and submitting them to article databanks, blog sources, the media, etc., really is extremely effective. Thus, it’s most important to consider not letting that train pass you by.

There are, of course, some guidelines to think about as you plan your “writing foray” into marketing an article.

“I don’t saw a Web site was red with zebras and supercalifragilistic and whatever else the rest of that is!” What?

Quality

That’s “quality” with a capital “Q”! If you’re taking the time and effort to write an article, by all means make it one of quality. And be sure it means something! Writing for the web is somewhat different from writing a term paper, an essay or a book.

Use short sentences and simple, easy-to-understand words. Of course, check your spelling, your sentence structure and the overall layout characteristics.

For instance, have you ever read a 900 word article, or a post on a forum, that was written in just one paragraph in very fine print? Frustrating to read, to say the least! Let alone trying to figure out what was said!

Putting together a quality article in all aspects is a great opportunity to have the article picked up by others who will use the article in their materials. In turn, the article will be distributed to their list!

And as that snowball rolls it can get larger, gain momentum and finally end up and explode in front of many others that will learn about and from you; they’ll seek you out.

Build you up buttercup

If you’re writing an article, make it smashing right out of the box! Usually one writes an article to get some sort of message to possible prospects and to current customers. So as you take the time to write articles do it to “build you up, buttercup” to get you noticed by your target market as the expert in your niche. It won’t happen, though, unless you make it happen. Say it by showing it in your words.

What drives you to part with your money?

When you’re writing your article, think about yourself–but just for a minute! Since really the focus of your article is to trigger something in your audience so they will come looking for you, write your article from the standpoint of your reader. What do they need that they don’t know they need for which you can provide relief? Then craft your article so your prospects see you as their own little package of Rolaids!

End notes

After you’ve got a killer article, it’s time to construct a bio that will make your reader absolutely sure she will contact you to have some of what you have. Often, bio boxes are ho hum and carbon copies of many of the others on the web. If your article is good enough to initially catch the reader, you want to continue that “reel in” with a resource box that further grabs them.

Above all, concentrate on the benefit to the reader at all times.

Your Talking Traffic

Author: KMcGreevey: Konceptuality
16.08.2009

So now we continue with our last three tips as a conclusion to yesterday’s blog post about getting traffic to your site.

3. Is your traffic leaving as soon as they hit your landing page? If they are, you know you have a problem.

As soon as users get there, you want to reinforce to them they’re in the right place. Says John Marshall, founder and CEO of http://ClickTracks.com, “Make sure the keyword the user clicked is associated with, and strongly connected to the copy in that landing page, and throughout the experience…

“Just paying attention to that could probably get you a 20% to 50% improvement in your conversion rate.”

4. Where people are exiting your site

This is especially important when you have customers leaving in the middle of checkout. If you see a high rate of users, with full shopping carts, leaving on a particular page, you can pinpoint what’s costing you sales:

If they’re exiting on the page where you explain shipping costs, you might see that your shipping appears higher than your competitors’.

If they’re leaving halfway through filling out the buyer’s information, you might consider that your buyer questionnaire’s too long.

So, as you can see, Web analytics puts you in a position to know what’s working on your Web site and what isn’t.

It’s also a way to determine where you need to make changes and then measure how effective those changes are.
