Strategy to Market Your Web site to Get Traffic, Part 2

Yesterday, I posted a portion of a rather lengthy article that suggested ways you can market your Web site in order to get specific traffic you need for your site. I continue it now:

As part of your Web site marketing strategyis to use Pay Per Click marketing to get traffic to your Web site.

For this strategy, you will set up accounts with Google’s Adwords, Yahoo’s Search Marketing, or some of the lesser known and cheaper options like 7Search.

The advantage with Pay Per Click marketing is that it works quickly.

In fact, you should start seeing an immediate stream of visitors to your Web site.

The disadvantage is that unless you know what you are doing, you can lose your shirt doing it.

So, take the time to learn about PPC before starting, set your initial click values low, and set a daily cap on the amount you are willing to spend before you start.

You could also do Forum Marketing, although there are many who do not like to do Forum Marketing despite how wonderfully effective it is.

If you Forum Market, you join a Forum that is relevant to your Web site. Initially. You then respond to other people’s posts with good information. You’ll also start your own posts and offer information or ask smart questions.

After you have 25 or so posts, create a signature with a link back to your site. Don’t be blatant about it.

When people consider you a valuable member of the Forum, they will be curious to know what else you have to offer and will check out your Web site.

These people will already be pre-sold on you and will be open to whatever products or services you are selling.

So you can see that once you figure out how you’re going to meet the needs of your customers, you’ll have many ways to get visitors to your Web site.

So there you go; once these tips are in place, you just repeat them over and over.
