Starting a Blog? Do This!
A lot of people aren’t quite sure what to do when it comes to starting a blog because they think it is complicated; but really, it is not.
Over the next three days, I’ll “prove it” by offering some very basic tips you can use to get started.
Content
Before you commit even one word to your WordPress template or to your Word document, think about the content you want to put into your blog.
What is your blog about? Is it going to be a personal journal, or will you provide information on a certain topic? Maybe you’ll even just use it to advertise your business.
Whatever your reason, your content is is the crux of your blog.
So, start your blog with three of four topics at first. This will get your blog on the Internet, get recognition from “Google”, and direct visitors to your site!
You’ll find that many of these visitors will post comments on your topics, so when they do, make it a point to pay attention to them.
Look for any questions in their posts; they might even give you your next topic without even realizing it. Before you post your topics, though, be sure you carefully research them as you want to appear as an expert on your topic. And the more you know about your topic, the more of an expert you will appear.
The second tip is about “making yourself available” to your visitor; so stop back tomorrow to get the skivvy on that. And then Sunday, I’ll discuss “How to personalize your blog”.
